Come hear from our three 2018 New Works Grantees in a presentation of their works-in-progress at the University of Arizona Art Museum.

2018 New Works Artist Project Grantees

  • Poet and community artist Torran Anderson, whose work addresses the small things about Tucson that we all notice and love.
  • Mixed media artist Xinyu Zhang, whose work will be on view in the museum.
  • Writer/performance artist, Mele Martinez, whose book-length manuscript called The Molino tells the story of her family and their tamal /tortilla factory in downtown Tucson.

Each will present their work and thoughts on their creative process over the last year of project development.

04/07/19 Cyclovia Tucson is a free, public event and while many people ride bicycles, participants can walk, skate, use wheelchairs, push strollers, and use any non-motorized form of transportation they wish to slow down, take in the sights, and experience the city from a new perspective, outside of car.
